This was a two day activity. The first Day in Man owar Bay and the second day in Bimbia where Dreamers Hope Foundation in partnership with Henrietta Nkongchu’s Foundation. It started at 11am in Bimbia and at 4pm in Man owar bay. 25 young girls in both communities were sensitized on the importance on the importance of ensuring proper hygiene management especially during menstruation. How many times they are to take their bath during their period, how often to change their pad, how to coordinate themselves. They were also encouraged to do a checkup of breast cancer and cervical cancer since it was pink October the period for awareness to be done and free checkups were available at the Regional Hospital and at The Emperor Foundation. After this the youths asked a few questions, pads, savon and titi pales were distributed to them, group pictures were taken with the project team and interviews done. This activity ended at about 2pm in Bimbia and 5:30pm in Man owar Bay.
A sensitization of Menstrual Hygiene management and breast Cancer awareness was carried out on the month of October 2023 to young girls in Man owar bay and Bimbia.
